Keating Placed on Two All-Region II Teams

DUDLEY, Mass. (5/26/2026) – Nichols College baseball program's sophomore outfielder Ryan Keating added two more accolade to his standout 2026 campaign after being named to the 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III Region II All-Region Second Team and the D3Baseball.com Region II All-Region Third Team. The ABCA/Rawlings All-Region teams recognize the top student-athletes from across NCAA Division III baseball and are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association, while the D3Baseball.com All-Region teams were voted on by D3baseball.com staff. The recognitions come after Keating established himself as one of the top all-around players in the Conference of New England and one of the premier outfielders in the region.

Keating put together a breakout sophomore campaign for the Bison, appearing in 42 games while emerging as the centerpiece of the Nichols offense. The Wilbraham, Massachusetts native hit .343 on the season with 58 hits, 20 doubles, six home runs, 37 RBI, and 38 runs scored while adding 28 stolen bases. His 20 doubles broke the Nichols single-season program record, and he also led the team in hits, runs, RBI, total bases, stolen bases, slugging percentage (.580), and OPS (.997). He also played outstanding defense in the outfield, posting a .978 fielding percentage.

Among conference leaders, Keating ranked near the top in nine offensive categories and finished first in the Conference of New England in stolen bases, totaling seven more than the next closest player. During conference play, he elevated his performance even further, batting .372 with a .667 slugging percentage, eight doubles, five home runs, 23 RBI, and 17 runs scored across 19 league games.

Keating delivered several signature moments throughout the season, including a postseason grand slam in Nichols' 11-9 Conference of New England First Round victory over Roger Williams. His second-inning blast helped erase an early deficit and sparked the Bison's playoff comeback victory.

In addition to his ABCA/Rawlings and D3Baseball.com All-Region recognitions, Keating earned Conference of New England First Team All-Conference honors following his standout sophomore season. Keating's recognition adds to a growing list of postseason honors for the Nichols baseball program, with seven Nichols student-athletes placed on the conference postseason teams.
