WENHAM, Mass. - The Nichols College women's soccer team moved to 3-5-2 on the year and 0-3-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference play as the Bison absorbed a 2-0 defeat at Gordon on Saturday.
The Scots (9-1-0, 3-0-0 CCC) began the match on the offensive with 15 of their 21 shots on the day coming in the first half. Just before the break, Taylor McSherry (Wolcott, Conn.) slotted a ball deep in the area past the Nichols keeper to give the Scots the 1-0 lead.
Senior captain Caitlin Nedde (Colchester, Vt.) finished the scoring for the Scots in the 86th minute breaking through the defense to net her ninth goal of the season.
Scots' netminder Kari Christensen grabbed her eighth shutout on the year with four saves in the match. First-year goalkeeper
Melissa Toomey (Saugus, Mass.) split time with fellow rookie
Kelly English (Mansfield, Mass.) as the duo combined for 11 saves on 21 shots faced.

Alyssa Tosti (Douglas, Mass.) led the Bison with three shots while classmate
Kelsey Murphy (Maynard, Mass.) put both of her shots on net.
Nichols ventures to Eastern Nazarene for a 3:30 p.m. conference match on Wednesday while the Scots host CCC foe Endicott College also on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
