Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 FORT MYERS, Fla. (Mar. 11) – The Nichols College baseball team mounted a pair of seventh inning rallies as the Bison were defeated 13-2 and 5-2 by Lakeland (Wis.) at the Gene Cusic Classic on Sunday.

The Muskies put up five runs in the bottom of the first and went on to score eight more over the next four innings to lead 13-0 heading into the seventh. First-year Brett Franciosi led off with a walk and would be joined by junior Bryan Gill two batters later courtesy of another free pass.  Sophomore Shayne McNally then used his first hit of the day to deliver the initial Bison run of the inning. A third walk in the inning loaded the bases and set the stage for a RBI ground out for the final run of the contest.

Lewis fanned a pair of batters while Jankins struck out the side in the sixth. Muskie hurler Mike Ruzek allowed only one hit over six innings and set down seven batters.
