MILTON, Mass. (Sept. 27) – A sweep of singles competition helped lift Nichols past Curry, 8-1, in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's tennis action Tuesday afternoon in Milton. The Bison improved to 9-3 overall and 6-0 in conference play, while the Colonels fell to 5-3 (3-2 CCC).

In doubles, Nichol's Anna Dyakiv and Lindsay Benoit took care of Emily Mongello and Megan Mulrooney, 8-5, at #1; Chelsey Miller and Jill McQuiggan defeated the Colonels' Lauren Chuha and  Kate Johnson, 8-4, at #2; and in Curry's only win on the day, Elizabeth Zarkades and Devin Curley knocked off Alexandra Cifone and Kelsey Peterson, 8-6, at #3.

In singles, the visiting Bison swept the Colonels in all six matches.  Nichols got wins from Dyakiv at #1, Benoit at #2, Cifone at #3, Miller at #4, McQuiggan at #5 and Peterson at #6. 

Curry resumes play on September 29, when they host Roger Williams for a conference match at 3:30 p.m. Nichols also plays a conference match on September 30, when they host Wentworth for a 4:00 p.m. start.
