Box Score FORT MYERS, Fla. (Mar. 17) – The Nichols College baseball team fell the University of Dubuque, 13-3, Thursday morning at the Gene Cusic Classic. The Bison (4-5) wrap up their spring trip Friday with a 3 p.m. game against St. Lawrence University at Terry Park Field 1.

The Bison had nine hits in the game while holding Dubuque to 10, but surrendered nine runs to the Spartans in the seventh and eighth innings and were sat down in order over the final two innings after leaving the bases loaded in the sixth. Sophomore catcher Cody Jankins was 1-for-4 with a pair of RBI. The Bison scored twice in the fifth on three hits, including a leadoff single from Mat Whitman (North Plainfield, N.J.) who was 1-for-2 with two runs scored on the day.
