Box Score FORT MYERS, Fla. (Mar. 15) – The Nichols College baseball team held onto an early lead to defeat University of Minnesota-Morris, 4-2, Tuesday afternoon at Terry Park. The Bison draw even at 3-3 on the season and will continue play in the Gene Cusic Classic with a 9 a.m. doubleheader against Millikin University.

First year pitcher Tyler Shute (Mashpee, Mass.) improved to 2-1 on the year after pitching seven innings in relief, fanning three while allowing seven hits. He allowed one run in the fifth, and the Bison defense stranded a runner on third as they turned a double play to get out of the inning.

The Bison led, 2-0 after two innings on RBI singles from Austin Martin (Wakefield, R.I.) and Zac Johnson (Wakefield, R.I.), and took advantage of back-to-back errors in the fourth to plate two more.
