Second Half Propels Nichols Past Daniel Webster, 3-1

Box Score Nashua, N.H. (Oct. 4) – Casey Doig's header in the 50th minute proved to be the game-winner as Nichols pulled ahead in a 3-1 win over Daniel Webster in a non-conference men's soccer contest played at Rivier College's Raider Field on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Alex Jackson had put the Eagles (5-4) on the board after converting on a penalty kick 9:22 into the contest, before Scott Coderre would tie it tipping home the rebound of a Doig shot in the 24th minute.

Doig's header was served up by Scott Palmerino's corner kick 4:08 into the second half. Brendan Whitson added an insurance tally with 9:59 to play as the Bison (7-3-1) won for the fourth time in their last five outings.
 
Both teams managed 16 total shots but the Eagles finished with a 12-10 shots on goal advantage.
 
Brendan Hamilton finished with 11 saves for Nichols while Joe Keene made seven stops for DWC.
 
Daniel Webster hosts Mitchell College in a NECC matchup on Sunday at Noon as part of a men's-women's doubleheader with the Mariners.
 
Nichols visits Curry in a CCC matchup Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
