DUDLEY, Mass. (Sept. 29) – The Nichols College women's tennis team ran its The Commonwealth Coast Conference win streak to a eight games Wednesday afternoon, defeating Anna Maria, 9-0. The Bison dropped just two games in doubles action and improve to 9-1 overall and 8-0 in TCCC matches. Anna Maria falls to 1-8 overall and 1-7 in conference matches.

The Bison won all but one singles match without dropping a game, and junior Alexandra Cifone (Bristol, Conn.) defeated Emily Williamson, 6-1, 6-2, playing up at the second singles spot.

In doubles play, sophomores Catherine Jaworski (Berlin, Vt.) and Erica Tolman (West Rockport, Maine) won their second outing of the season at the third flight.

Nichols is back in action Thursday in a 3:30 p.m. tandem match with the men's team at Assumption. Anna Maria travels to Curry Saturday for  a noon conference match.
