Curry Beats Women's Lax, 22-4

MILTON, Mass.- Curry College scored fourteen first have goals en route to a 22-4 victory over Nichols College on Saturday in Milton. With the win the Colonels improve to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. The Bison fall to 2-5 overall and 1-3 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference.

Senior attacker Ashley Hansbury scored a career-high 13 points on seven goals and six assists. Hansbury also earned her best coming up with 11 draw controls.

Junior attacker Jessie Koffman also had a career-high with nine points on four goals and five assists. Senior midfielder Rachel Robichaud finished the day with five goals and five caused turnovers.

Nichols scored two goals each half. Sophomore Brittany Tremont (Guilford, CT) led her team with two goals and one assist. Sophomore Krista-Jean Forand (Plymouth, MA) scored one goal and dished out two assists and sophomore Emily Yourie (Ellington, CT) scored once.

Curry played three different goalies in net, junior Maria Lynch finished with 3 saves and one goal against, junior Kate Noe stopped one shot allowing one goal and freshman Emily LeBlanc saved one and allowed two goals. In net for Nichols was sophomore Mary Michaud (Agawam, MA) who made eight saves for the Bison.

Nichols will travel to Western New England on April 7 for a 4:00 p.m. game. The Colonels travel to the University of New England on Monday, April 5 for a 6:30 p.m. start time.
