QUINCY, Mass. (Oct. 9) --The Nichols College women's tennis team won all nine matches against host Eastern Nazarene College and finished off its season with a perfect 11-0 The Commonwealth Coast Conference record.

Eastern Nazarene fought to the end in the #1 doubles matchup to start the day as Sharon Lemire and Elise Sleeper went back and forth with Nichols' Anna Dyakiv (Amsterdam, N.Y.) and Maria Balabanova (Moscow, Russia). Lemire and Sleeper stayed in it until the end but Nichols' duo was able to hang on for the 8-6 victory.

In singles play, Nichols did not fault once as they only allowed Eastern Nazarene to win 2 games in the six matches combined. Five Nichols players won their matches in shutout fashion.

The win brings Nichols season record to 12-1 while Eastern Nazarene finishes the year 1-13 and 1-10 in TCCC play.

Nichols will enjoy the #1 seed in the TCCC conference championship next week. Play is slated to begin on Tuesday with the Bison hosting #8 seed Gordon at 2 p.m. for the quarterfinals.
