Porte lands on The Hill following a standout collegiate career as a defensive back at Winona State University. A four-year contributor for the Warriors from 2021-24, Porte appeared in 41 career games and finished his career with 86 total tackles, including 36 solo stops, 3.5 tackles for loss, one interception, 12 pass breakups, and two forced fumbles. During his senior campaign in 2024, Porte played in all 11 games, recording 20 tackles and a pass breakup after posting 11 tackles and a forced fumble in 2023. His breakout season came in 2022, when he ranked fourth on the team with 38 tackles, led the Warriors with nine pass breakups, added an interception, 3.5 tackles for loss, and forced a fumble.

A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Porte was equally impressive ahead of his undergraduate career, where he earned All-Region recognition as a defensive back for Dacula High School in Gwinnett, Georgia.
