TJ Cahill CSCS, SCCC was named the Director of Sports Performance / Head Strength & Conditioning Coach on July 10, 2025.
Cahill has worked in a variety of Strength & Conditioning roles before joining the Bison. He spent the last two years in the NESCAC with Amherst College. With the Mammoths, Cahill oversaw 14 programs including Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Squash, M/W Swimming and Diving, M/W Cross Country, Women’s Rowing, Alpine Ski and Snowboarding and Men’s Soccer, which won the 2024 NCAA Division III National Championship. While a Graduate Assistant with Amherst from 2021-23, he worked with Catapult GPS monitoring and designed programs for NCAA Division III Varsity Sports.
A Springfield College graduate. Cahill spent time at his alma mater, as an Adjunct Professor, teaching Applied Exercise Science Fieldwork courses and supervising graduate level Strength and Conditioning Fieldwork courses.
He has worked with the Valley Blue Sox (NECBL) as a seasonal Strength and Conditioning Coach, working with pitchers and position players. He also spent time at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Bryant University, and College of Holy Cross.
Cahill earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Exercise Science in 2020 before completing his Master of Science in Strength and Conditioning from Springfield in 2023. In addition to holding a CSCS and SCCC certification, he also holds a USA Weightlifting Level 1 (USAW L1), and Functional Movement Screening, Level 1 (FMS L1).
