Sharona Mallach

Sharona Mallach was named the Director fo Sports Medicine / Head Athletic Trainer for the Bison in the 2025-26 season.

Prior to Nichols, Mallach served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Anna Maria in 2018. She was promoted to the position of Associate Athletic Trainer in 2021. Most recently she was named Senior Woman Administrator in the fall of 2023.

Mallach, spent time with the Canadian Women’s Hockey League and the Worcester Blades, from 2018-19. Before she returned to the Worcester area, she worked in New York at Nazareth College for one year from 2017-18, primarily supporting the Men’s Ice Hockey and Volleyball program, while also serving as a clinical preceptor for the SUNY Brockport athletic training education program. Before Nazareth, Mallach worked at the Rochester Polytechnic Institute (RPI), working with their DI Women’s Ice Hockey program.

Before RPI, she worked at Assumption University (DII), from 2013-16, working with Men’s Soccer, Women’s Volleyball, Women’s Swimming and Diving, and the Men’s Lacrosse team too. Mallach got her start at Fairleigh Dickinson University – College at Florham in 2010 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. She coordinated care for the Field Hockey, Women’s Soccer, Women’s Basketball, and Women’s Lacrosse teams there, while also assisting with care and coverage for all varsity programs.

Mallach holds a Master of Science in Athletic Training from Seton Hall University and graduated with the class of 2010. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, in 2007 from Boston University.

Mallach is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) through the National Board of Certification and is licensed through the states of Massachusetts and New York. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA). She maintains a current CPR & AED certification from the Red Cross and is a certified Red Cross instructor.
