Kevin Mooney Joins Nichols College as a Graduate Assistant in Strength & Conditioning by way of Newington, Conn. A 2024 graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Mooney received his B.S. in Kinesiology where he spent the 2023-24 campaigns an intern in the Rams weight room.

As an intern at URI, Mooney assisted in day-to-day operations working closely with Football, Baseball, Softball, Women’s Volleyball, Men’s Soccer, Men’s Golf, and Rowing. Mooney was tasked with implementing lifting/conditioning programs and tracking athletes’ progressions using technology.
Prior to his time at URI, Mooney spent time at Central Connecticut State University where he interned in the weight room with the Blue Devils Football team leading up to their 2023-24 season in the Northeast Conference.
