Julia Carroll '23 MBA '25

Julia Carroll ’23, MBA ’25 enters her third season with the Nichols College athletics staff, having been promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Finance and Compliance for the 2025–26 academic year. In this role, Carroll oversees all financial operations within the athletics division and serves as the department’s primary NCAA compliance contact, managing transfer tracers, reporting, and waiver processes. Additionally, she serves as Deputy Title IX Coordinator and advisor to the Bison Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
 
Carroll previously served as the Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant during the 2024–25 academic year. In that capacity, she acted as the primary contact for Women's Soccer, Men's Soccer, Women's and Men's Tennis, and Softball, while assisting with coverage for Basketball, Ice Hockey, and Lacrosse. Her responsibilities also included student worker scheduling and contributing to the social media efforts for all 24 varsity teams.

A native of Albert Bridge, Nova Scotia, Carroll joined the athletics staff in August 2023 after four years competing for the Bison as a member of the Women’s Ice Hockey program. As a goaltender with the team, Carroll played in 29 games during her four years at Nichols, picking up eight wins and recording two shutouts. Additionally, she was a two-year member of the Women's Lacrosse program. Carroll also served as the President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, was a member of the Nichols Senior Advisory Council, an Admissions Ambassador, and a Teaching Assistant in the PDS program. She was also selected as the inaugural senior speaker for the 2023 athletics banquet.
 
She comes to the athletics communications staff after being a four-year work-study student with the department. She served as the primary public address announcer for countless Nichols sports, as well as aided in many different areas of athletic communications and game operations. In the classroom, she studied in specialized courses covering athletic administration and NCAA rules and regulations, before completing an internship specialized in NCAA compliance. Carroll earned her BSBA with a concentration in Sport Management in May 2023 and earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in May 2025.
