Nichols College Athletics

DeAngela Ragosta begins her first season as a Bison, joining the Nichols cheerleading program as the assistant coach for the 2026-27 season.

DeAngela brings a lifelong background in cheerleading to the Nichols program. She was a member of the Division I University of Rhode Island cheerleading team, where she competed at UCA College Nationals and helped the team earn a Top 5 finish in the All Girl Division I category. In 2018, she had the honor of traveling with the URI cheerleading team to cheer at the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. During her collegiate career, she was also selected for the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) staff.

In addition to her collegiate experience, DeAngela has choreographed and coached alongside cheerleading programs at various levels. She is excited to bring her experience, passion for the sport, and commitment to team development to the Nichols cheerleading program.

DeAngela earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Rhode Island and currently works as a registered nurse while also running an athlete recovery and wellness center.
