Collin Wingard begins his first season as head coach of the Nichols College esports program in 2026–27.
Wingard comes to The Hill from Newberry College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with minors in Esports Management and Entrepreneurship. During his four seasons as a member of the Newberry esports program, he helped lead the program to two league championships and a Call of Duty LAN championship, establishing himself as both a successful competitor and leader.
During the 2025–26 academic year, Wingard served as the Assistant Director of Esports, where he assisted with the day-to-day operations of the program. His responsibilities included coordinating practices, mentoring student-athletes, managing equipment and facilities, organizing competitive schedules, assisting with recruiting, and helping create a positive environment for the program's continued success.
Wingard graduated Cum Laude from Newberry College and is excited to begin his coaching career at Nichols College, where he looks forward to developing student-athletes, building a championship culture, and continuing the growth of the esports program.
