Brennan Hyde '24

Brennan Hyde '24 returns to The Hill as an Assistant Coach for the Nichols baseball program in 2026-27. 

Hyde enjoyed one of the most decorated careers in Nichols College baseball history before concluding his collegiate career at Rutgers University for the 2025 season. While with Rutgers, he recorded multiple multi-hit performances, including a three-hit, two-RBI effort against Kennesaw State and a 3-for-4 performance with two RBI at Nebraska. Hyde pursued a master's degree in Labor Studies and Employment Relations while competing for the Scarlet Knights.

A four-year standout for the Bison from 2021-24, Hyde earned ABCA/Rawlings Third Team All-America honors, ABCA/Rawlings First Team All-Region II recognition, D3baseball.com First Team All-Region accolades, and Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) First Team honors as a senior in 2024. Hyde also captured the ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award after posting a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in the outfield, recording 86 putouts and six assists. He finished his senior campaign batting .401 with nine home runs, 14 doubles, 55 RBI, and 38 walks while setting the Nichols career record with 25 home runs. Hyde was also the recipient of the Dan Cardin Memorial Award for Integrity and Leadership.

Over his four seasons on The Hill, Hyde earned CCC Rookie of the Year honors in 2021 and was a two-time All-CCC First Team selection. He appeared in 142 career games, compiling a .351 batting average with 25 home runs, 116 RBI, and numerous top-10 marks in the Nichols record book. As a freshman, Hyde burst onto the scene by batting .410, with his batting average, on-base percentage (.484), and slugging percentage (.602) all ranking among the best single-season marks in program history at the time.

Following his record-setting career at Nichols, Hyde transferred to Rutgers University for his graduate season, where he competed in the Big Ten Conference. During the 2025 campaign, he recorded multiple multi-hit performances, including a three-hit, two-RBI effort against Kennesaw State and a 3-for-4 performance with two RBI at Nebraska. Hyde pursued a master's degree in Labor Studies and Employment Relations while competing for the Scarlet Knights.
