Oscar Chavez enters his first season as the Nichols College men’s and women’s volleyball assistant in 2022-23. Additionally, he serves as the recruiting coordinator for the women’s program.
A 2020 graduate of the Nichols Business Administration program, Chavez was a two-year letter winner for the Bison following a two-season stint with Newbury College.
As a member of the men’s volleyball team on The Hill, he appeared in 44 total matches, recording 351 digs, including a stellar senior season in which he provided a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC)-best 180 dig performance, helping Nichols to a 13-5 (3-1) ledger.
Chavez was also was named to the Del Malloy Sportsmanship team twice during his time with the Bison (2019 & 2020).
Outside of coaching, Chavez have been heavily instrumental in the recruitment and retention of students, serving as an academic advisor since January 2022, and as an admissions counselor the year prior.
Chavez recently earned his Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) along with a Master’s of Science in Organizational leadership (MSOL) in August of 2022.
