Angel Mogel was announced as the 15th women’s soccer head coach in Nichols College program history in June 2022.
In the 2025 season, her fourth season at the helm, Mogel guided a young roster that featured all eight freshmen seeing meaningful minutes, including goalkeeper Isabella Dupret, who finished the year just outside the program’s top ten for single-season saves. The Bison also earned a key 4-2 home victory over Fitchburg State on September 9, with four different players finding the back of the net.
The 2023 and 2024 seasons saw Nichols continue to build under Mogel’s leadership. In 2023, the Bison posted three wins and captured the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Sportsmanship Trophy, with junior Natalie Gray earning All-CCC Third Team honors. The following year, a retooled roster continued to develop, as senior Natalie Gray and junior Falyn Hunt earned Conference of New England (CNE) All-Conference recognition, marking the program’s first multiple honorees since 2009.
In her inaugural season in 2022, Mogel led the Bison to seven victories - the program’s highest total since 2019 - highlighted by graduate student Maddie Clark earning Second Team All-CCC honors.
Mogel brought extensive collegiate coaching experience to The Hill after spending 18 years at Wentworth Institute of Technology, including 15 seasons as head coach of the women’s soccer program. She also served as the girls varsity head coach at West Boylston Middle High School (2016-20) and Wachusett Regional High School (2021).
At Wentworth, Mogel founded the women’s soccer program and guided its transition from club status to varsity competition, leading the Leopards to immediate early success and multiple postseason appearances, including 11 CCC Tournament berths. From 2001-05, Wentworth posted a 63-33-2 record, highlighted by a program-record 15 wins in 2002 and a CCC Championship match appearance in 2003, as well as four consecutive ECAC Tournament appearances.
Across 15 seasons, Mogel compiled a 133-136-10 record, reaching the program’s 100th win in 2007. She coached multiple All-Region and All-Conference performers, as well as academic award winners, and played a key role in athletic department leadership, serving as Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator from 1998-2011 before later becoming Director of Athletics.
A decorated student-athlete at Springfield College, Mogel was a three-time NSCAA All-American (1990-92), three-time Northeast-10 First Team All-Star, and two-time NE-10 Player of the Year. She remains the program’s all-time leading scorer and is a member of both the Springfield College and Northeast-10 Conference Halls of Fame.
