Brian McKinley

Brian McKinley ’19 begins his second season as a graduate assistant with the women’s lacrosse program at Nichols College in 2020-21.

Following a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Men’s Lacrosse Third Team selection in 2018, this Nashua, New Hampshire native earned First Team honors last spring despite playing nearly the entire season with a broken thumb. He led the conference in saves (234) and was second in save percentage (.578), third in goals against average (10.72), and fourth in wins (10). He recorded 15+ saves on nine occasions in 2019 – highlighted by a 21-save effort in a win at Salve Regina on April 6 and a 20-save performance at Emerson on March 12. McKinley closed the season No. 34 in the nation in both save percentage and saves/game.

McKinley graduated from Nichols as the men’s lacrosse program’s all-time leader in wins (27), No. 2 in saves (710), and No. 3 in both goals against average (GAA) (10.09) and save percentage (.588). A three-time CCC Academic All-Conference selection (2017-19), he was named to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Academic Team following the 2019 campaign. McKinley was also a member of Chi Alpha Sigma at Nichols and spent three years working in the athletic training room.
