Shannon Strawinski begins her second season as an assistant coach with the Nichols College women’s ice hockey program in 2020-21. In her first season ‘On the Hill,” Fallon guided the Bison to the Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) Semifinals.
Strawinski registered 91 points in 111 career games during her four-year career at Elmira (35 G, 56 A). A native of Toms River, N.J., Strawinski earned United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Honorable Mention honors as a junior in 2017-18, establishing career-highs in goals (13), assists (21), and points (34) as the Eagles advance to the National Championship game. For her efforts, she was named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team.
Strawinski – who worked as a game operations intern with the Elmira Enforcers of the Federal Hockey League during her senior year at Elmira – graduated this past May with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She was named to the Eastern College Athletic Association (ECAC) West Academic All-Conference Team in 2017, the UCHC All-Academic Team in 2018, the Empire 8 President’s List in both the spring and fall of 2018, and the Dean’s List at Elmira in the fall and winter terms in 2018.
