Len Harmon began his first season as an assistant coach with the men's and women's track & field programs in spring of 2026.
Len Harmon brings more than two decades of coaching, program development, and leadership experience to Nichols College after a highly successful tenure at Shepherd Hill Regional High School, where he coached track & field for 22 years and cross country for 11 years. During his time at Shepherd Hill, Harmon helped lead both the boys’ and girls’ track & field programs to league championships while developing athletes who competed successfully at the conference, district, state, and national levels, including nationally competitive boys’ sprinters and relay teams. His approach emphasizes long-term athlete development, competitive preparation, accountability, and the creation of a strong team culture—principles he now brings to the collegiate environment at Nichols. Harmon has also been a leader within the Massachusetts track & field community, serving for more than 10 years on the District E Track & Field Committee and holding multiple leadership roles with the Massachusetts State Track Coaches Association, including former Secretary and current Director of Communications. His extensive experience developing athletes and building competitive programs provides a strong foundation for his work in advancing the Nichols cross country and track & field programs.
