Danielle Levya ’16 begins her fourth season as an assistant coach with both the Nichols College men’s and women’s cross country and track & field teams in 2020-21.
Three student-athletes garnered CCC All-Conference awards honors this past fall as the men’s cross country team placed third in at the conference championship meet: Joseph Santese, Christopher Kimball, and Shawn Tobin. The track and field season was canceled after three meets due to COVID-19.
The Bison men’s track & field program captured their second Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Invitational in 2019, placing first in 13 events. The men’s cross country program, meanwhile, placed fourth at the CCC Championship and saw three student-athletes – Joseph Santese, Christopher Kimball, and Kevin Radavich – all garnered all-conference honors. Santese was tabbed the CCC Scholar Athlete of the Year. A total of 12 student-athletes garnered CCC Academic All-Conference honors.
On the women’s side, Kaitlyn Anthes garnered All-CCC honors for the second-consecutive season in the hammer while freshman Maddie Clark won the 400m dash at the 2019 CCC Track & Field Championship. Nine women (seven track & field, two cross country) were named to the CCC Academic All-Conference Team.
The men’s cross country squad placed seventh at the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship in 2017, led by sophomore and All-CCC pick Joseph Santese. In the spring, the men’s track & field squad placed second at the CCC Invitational while the women grabbed sixth-place, led by sophomore and All-CCC selection Kaitlyn Anthes (Hammer). Ten members of the track & field teams (six men, four women) and three cross country student-athletes garnered CCC Academic All-Conference accolades.
Levya was a three-year member of the Bison cross country program (2013-15) who later worked for the athletic department, primarily in the marketing department. She also assisted head coach Katie Moulton with both programs during her senior campaign.
