Kyle Libby begins her second season as an assistant coach with the Nichols College women’s basketball program in 2018-19.
In her first season at Nichols, Libby helped the Bison double their win total from the previous campaign. Four of her student-athletes earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Academic All-Conference honors while Allison Cerrato garnered CCC Third Team accolades.
Libby is a 2017 graduate of Binghamton University who spent four seasons as a member of the Bearcats women’s basketball program. She appeared in 72 games during that span (seven starts) and helped Binghamton combine to win 27 games over her final two seasons. In 2015-16, Libby played in 28 games as the Bearcats advanced to the America East Semifinals.
A member of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) ‘So You Want to be a Coach’ Program, Libby worked as a camp counselor at Binghamton’s basketball summer camp in both 2013 and 2015, where she provided individual and group basketball instruction to campers and organized station drills. She previously worked as a camp counselor at the Cheverus H.S. Boys Basketball Camp (2011-12) and as an assistant and drill coordinator for the Maine Waive AAU Team (2013-14).
Libby – who graduated Binghamton with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology – was a four-year varsity letterwinner at Cheverus High School and a Southern Maine Athletic Association (SMAA) Third Team selection as a senior.
