Emily Dobson begins her first season as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Nichols College in 2018-19.
Dobson is a 2017 graduate of Western Connecticut State University, where she was a four-year member of the Colonials basketball program. The Westerly, R.I. native was named to The Little East (LEC) First Team as a junior and Second Team as a senior, and was a three-time LEC Winter All-Academic Team pick (2015-17). Dobson was named the WCSU Practice Player of the Year in 2015-16, one year after receiving the Distinguished Teammate Award. A Dean’s List student, Dobson received her degree in Health Promotion Studies.
“I am really excited to add coach Dobson to our women’s basketball program,” said Skarzenski. “She had an accomplished career at Western Connecticut, has a great basketball IQ, and is energetic, positive, and works extremely hard. She is a great fit for our program and will make an immediate impact on the sidelines for us.”
