Morgan Almon begins her second season as a graduate assistant in the Sports Medicine Department at Nichols College in 2022-23. She worked with the men’s and women’s soccer, women’s ice hockey, and women’s lacrosse programs during her first season in Dudley.
A native of Warwick, Rhode Island, Almon received her bachelor’s degree from King’s (PA) College in 2021 after majoring in athletic training. She appeared in 71 games for the Monarchs women’s ice hockey program from 2017-20 on defense, potting her first collegiate goal against Lebanon Valley as a sophomore. Almon was a two-year member of both the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) All-Academic Team and the Middle Athletic Conference (MAC) Academic Honor Roll in 2019-20 and 2020-21.
Her cousin, Bill Almon, was the No. 1 overall pick in the 1974 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft and played for eight teams during his 15-year career, including six with the San Diego Padres.
