Luca Brazil-Sheehan joined the Nichols College men's soccer family in 2026 through the Team IMPACT program. Following a successful recruiting process, Luca officially committed to the Bison alongside his mother, Meagan, father, James, and younger brother, Julian, during a special ceremony at the Nichols Athletic Center.
Luca, six, was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a cancer of the blood and bone marrow, in 2025. He has since been receiving treatment and chemotherapy at UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center.
As the newest member of The Herd, Luca will be an honorary member of the Nichols men's soccer program throughout the 2026 season. His addition provides the Bison with an opportunity to build a relationship centered around belonging, empowerment, resilience, bravery and empathy, reflecting the mission of Team IMPACT.
Luca and his family were welcomed to the program by head coach Marco DeVito and the Nichols men's soccer team, who look forward to sharing the 2026 season with him and creating memories both on and off the field.
