Marco DeVito was announced as the 20th Head Coach of the men's soccer program on February 20, 2025.
In his intriductory season at the helm, DeVito earned his first collegiate head coaching victory on September 17, a 2-0 win over Lasell University. He guided the Bison through a strong defensive stretch early in the year, highlighted by a 1-0 victory over Conference of New England (CNE) opponent Endicott College on October 18, in which Nichols scored in the opening minute and held the lead for a full 90 minutes.
Under his leadership, Nichols also collected four CNE weekly honors, including Player of the Week recognition for William Pugliese-Savage (9/8/25), Rookie of the Week honors for Avery Morse (9/8/25), and two Defensive Player of the Week awards from Derek Axon (9/22, 10/6).
DeVito joined Nichols after serving as an assistant coach at Tufts University in 2024, where he primarily worked with the goalkeepers. He was part of the NESCAC Coaching Staff of the Year after the Jumbos posted a 12-0-6 record, reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament, and ranked second nationally in goals against average (.488) and sixth in save percentage (.870).
From 2022 to 2024, DeVito served as an assistant coach at Babson College, helping the Beavers to a 26-7-10 overall record and a 15-0-4 mark in NEWMAC play. During his tenure, he coached multiple All-Americans, two Defensive Players of the Year, one Offensive Player of the Year, and 12 All-Conference selections.
He previously spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Anna Maria College (2020-22), where he played a key role in recruiting the program’s first-ever GNAC Player of the Year.
DeVito earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Siena College and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Anna Maria College.
