Leon Lopez begins his second season as a graduate assistant with the Nichols College men’s soccer team in 2022.
Lopez played two years at Herkimer College, where he was a Second Team All-America pick as a freshman and First Team All-America as a sophomore. He helped Herkimer reach the NJCAA Semifinals in both seasons. He went on to play at SUNY Oneonta before transferring to nearby American International College.
Lopez – who was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago and played soccer at Malick Secondary School – holds a Bachelor of Arts in communications. He also played on the San Juan Jabloteh reserve team.
