James Putney begins his third season as an assistant men's lacrosse coach at Nichols College in 2018.
The 2017 edition of the Nichols College men’s lacrosse team won 10 games for the second time in program history and advanced to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) tournament for the first time since the 2012 campaign. The Bison broke losing skids against Gordon (13 games) and Salve Regina (four) late in the season to earn a playoff berth.
Five student-athletes were named to the CCC Academic All-Conference Team in 2016 while Brian Hancock was a New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Academic All-New England pick.
