Tim Bennett joined the Nichols College athletic department in 2012 and currently serves as an Associate Director of Athletics and Scheduling Coordinator
Bennett – who spent one year as a graduate assistant and two as an assistant athletic trainer prior to his appointment as the head of the department – supervises three assistant athletic trainers and two graduate assistants. He was the head trainer for three men’s ice hockey championship teams: 2013-14 & 2014-15 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Northeast Champions, and the 2017-18 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Champions. He also worked with contractors to develop, furbish, and complete the move into the new athletic training room, which opened in the Fall of 2015.
Bennett graduated from James Madison University of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) in May, 2012 with a bachelor of science in athletic training. While in Harrisonburg, Bennett worked with the men’s soccer team and baseball programs and traveled with the football team during his senior year.
Bennett is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Trainers’ Association, the Virginia Athletic Trainers’ Association, and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. He is a certified instructor by the American Red Cross in CPR/AED/First Aid. He received his master’s degree in Sport Management from Nichols in 2014.
Bennett resides in Uxbridge, Massachusetts with his wife, Amanda, and triplet daughters.
