Joe Loiselle begins his 12th season as an assistant men’s ice hockey coach at Nichols College in 2022-23.
The Bison have advanced to the conference semifinals in nine of the last 10 seasons with Loiselle on staff. During that span, the team owns a combined mark of 136-87-19 (.601), two Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Northeast Championships, one Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship, and three NCAA Tournament appearances. In 2017-18, the Bison won their first NCAA Tournament contest, a 3-1 triumph over Fitchburg State.
Loiselle played four years at New England College, where he played both sides of the puck and helped the Pilgrims to three conference championships. In 46 career games, Loiselle notched 15 points on two goals and 13 assists.
Loiselle – who helped the Pilgrims advance to the Division III Frozen Four in 2004-05 – also spent two years in the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL) with the Bridgewater Bandits. He also coaches the Rhode Island Saints Midget AAA hockey club.
