Dan Pelletier

Dan Pelletier begins his fourth season as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Nichols College in 2018-19.

Pelletier works with the defensemen both at practice and during games, and also coordinates the penalty kill. He also analyzes and breaks down video and assists head coach Parker Burgess in all aspects of recruiting. Pelletier has a focus on individual player skill development.

The Bison have advanced to the conference semifinals in each of the last three seasons with Pelletier on staff, capturing the 2017-18 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship. Defenseman Ian Spencer was named to the CCC Second Team this past season, one year after garnering CCC Third Team accolades.

During the off-season, Pelletier works under Paul Vincent at the prestigious PV-Hockey School in Falmouth Mass. At the camp, he worked with players from the NHL, AHL, ECHL, NCAA, and various junior hockey and prep school programs. Pelletier also assists former teammate and current Detroit Red Wings forward Wade Megan at the at the NoCo Hockey Skill Development camp in Canton, N.Y.

Pelletier was a four-year member of the Saint Michael’s College men’s ice hockey program after a standout playing career at South Kent School.

Prior to his arrival at Nichols, Pelletier was an assistant coach at Bridgton Academy (2013-14). He assisted with all aspects of both prep and junior teams, helping them both establish single-season records for victories. Pelletier also ran mini skill sessions through the day.

An assistant coach and evaluator at the 2011 USA Hockey U14 Massachusetts Development Camp, Pelletier has been involved with the New England Nordiques since 2011.
