Ben Siok begins his second season as the goaltending coach with the Nichols College men’s ice hockey program in 2017-18.
In Siok’s first season on staff, he helped NC netminder Colin Brennen record career-highs across the board, including wins (12), goals against average (GAA) (2.31), and save percentage (.923). Brennan was later named to the CCC Third Team.
Siok was a four-year member of the Franklin Pierce University men’s ice hockey program. He appeared in 48 career games between the pipes, recording over 1,300 saves in 2344:27 of ice time.
A native of Holden, Massachusetts, Siok attended St. John’s Shrewsbury, where he was a member of the boys ice hockey team. He was a Worcester Telegram & Gazette All-Star as well as an All-Greater Boston Team selection at St. John’s Shrewsbury, and a team captain as a senior.
