Matt Dumont begins his second season as a graduate assistant coach with the cross country and track & field programs at Nichols College in 2021-22.
While the 2020 cross country campaign was canceled due to COVID-19, the women’s track & field program competed at the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship this past spring while the men partook in the CCC Invitational. Following the season, a total of 26 student-athletes garnered CCC Academic All-Conference Team (18 men, eight women).

A 2020 graduate of Nichols College with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management, Dumont was an intern with the programs this past winter and spring. He assisted with recruiting while handling the social media accounts for both the cross country and track & field programs.
Dumont worked as a member of the Vermont Lake Monsters Gameday Staff in 2018 and completed an internship at Boston College during the 2019-20 academic year. While in Chestnut hill, he assisted the Learfield IMG College team in the execution of on-field promotions and aiding in the running of the sponsorship hospitality tent.
During his time as an undergraduate at NC, Dumont was a member of the Zeta Alpha Phil Honor Society, Delta Mu Delta Honor Society, and Chi Sigma Mu Honor Society. He also worked in the academic resource center as a head peer tutor.
Dumont is a native of Derby Line, Vermont.
