David Tuttle enters his fourth year as the Director of Athletic Communications at Nichols College in 2026-27.
In his role with the Bison, Tuttle oversees and directs the department’s communications, public relations, and broadcasting efforts while working closely with all 24 varsity programs on The Hill.
Prior to joining Nichols, Tuttle spent two years at Division II Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, New Hampshire, where he served as Assistant Director of Athletic Communications before being promoted to Interim Director in his final year. While at Franklin Pierce, he managed communications and media relations for the institution’s 22 varsity programs, including coverage of the 2022 NCAA Division II national champion men’s soccer team, which posted a 25-0-1 record, as well as the NCAA Division I women’s ice hockey program. During his tenure, he supported five Northeast-10 Conference Championship appearances, one conference title, seven NCAA Division II Tournament runs, and coordinated the men’s soccer program’s NCAA East Regional hosting responsibilities in 2022.
Prior to Franklin Pierce, Tuttle worked as a Media Assistant with the Maine Mariners of the ECHL in Portland, Maine, where he assisted with game day operations, digital and social media management, and pre-and post-game responsibilities. He also brings broadcasting experience, having worked as a play-by-play announcer in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and for the former Seacoast Spartans program in Exeter, New Hampshire, along with additional free-lance play-by-play and public address experience.Â
A 2021 graduate of Saint Joseph’s College of Maine with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Communications, Tuttle began his career in athletic communications as an intern in the Saint Joseph’s College Sports Information Office, assisting with day-to-day operations across multiple sports. He was also the recipient of the department’s 2021 Jennifer Jimenez Award for future promise in communications and was a four-year member of the track & field program.
A native of Freeport, Maine, David currently resides in Southbridge, Massachusetts.
