Sam Moser

Sam Moser begins his fourth season as an assistant coach with the Nichols College men’s basketball program in 2022-22.

The Bison – who captured their fifth-straight Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championship in 2021-22 – won three major awards campaign as Jakigh Dottin took home CCC Player of the Year while Jaekwon Spencer was tabbed CCC Defensive Player of the Year and Tahmeen Dupree garnered CCC Rookie of the Year honors. Nichols closed the season No. 3 in the NCAA Division III Region II rankings and was No. 6 in scoring offense (88.2 ppg), No. 9 in personal fouls/game (13.1), and No. 43 in assist/turnover ratio (1.28).

In 2019-20, Moser helped guide the Bison to their fourth-consecutive CCC Championship. Backed by CCC All-Conference performers DeAnte Bruton (First Team), Matt Morrow (Second Team), and Nate Tenaglia (Defensive Player of the Year), the Bison advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament for the third time in four years with a 74-72 win at Stevens Institute in the First Round.

Moser spent the previous two seasons at Connecticut College (2017-19) and has also coached at both Weston High School and Tolland High School.

Currently a Senior Regional Account Underwriter at The Hartford, Moser graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2019 with a degree in actuarial science.
