Jake Citron

Jake Citron begins his second season as an assistant coach with the men’s basketball program in 2015-16.

The Bison to their second-consecutive 20-win campaign in Citron’s first season as an assistant in 2014-15 and repeated as regular-season champions by winning a league-record 17 conference games. Nichols posted one of the stingiest defenses in the conference and posted a .769 winning pct. – the second-highest in school history. Nichols won a program-record 12 consecutive games in 2014-15 and saw three student-athletes earn all-conference honors, led by CCC Player of the Year Irving Eggleston.

Citron spent the 2-13-14 campaign as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Springfield College, where he helped the Pride post a 20-8 mark and advance to the NCAA Tournament. Citron was responsible for organizing practices, producing scouting reports and statistical analysis, and attending recruiting showcases.

A 2011 graduate of the University of Tampa with a degree in sport management, Citron also spent one year as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Dean College (2012-13), where he managed film study and breakdown, arranged community service and fundraising opportunities, organized practices, and was the lead recruiter for the program.

Citron has also worked for the United Soccer League and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and completed internships at the Tampa Bay Times Forum and with the Babson College athletics department. He received his Master of Science in sport psychology from Springfield in the spring of 2015.
