Ian DelleChiaie begins his first season as an assistant coach with the Nichols men's basketball program in 2024-25.
A United States Air Force veteran, DelleChiaie joins the heard following five seasons as an assistant coach with the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's program. Throughout his tenure with the Leopards, the program saw nine All-Conference players, three 1,000 point scorers, and one professional signing. DelleChiaie got his start in coaching as an intern at the College of the Holy Cross, which then turned into his first stint as an assistant with Wentworth in 2018-19. Later that year, he returned once again as a full-time Video Coordinator with Holy Cross program, before moving back to Wentworth as their assistant for the next five seasons.
DelleChiaie served in the US Air Force from 2010-2014, and was stationed between in both Italy and Louisiana on Ammo Troop (Munitions Systems) and convoy duty. Following his years of service, he earned a degree in clinical exercise physiology/pre med as a 2018 graduate of Fitchburg State University, before additionally receiving his MBA from the University of Massachusetts - Lowell in spring of 2024.
