Aaron Morrill begins his first season as an assistant coach with the Nichols men's basketball program in 2025-26.
Aaron joins The Herd after serving as a student manager for the Columbia University men's basketball team in 2019-20. While in that role, Columbia's roster featured All-Ivy League selections Mike Smith and Gabe Stefanini, both of whom went on to appear in the 2021 NCAA Tournament - Smith for the University of Michigan and Stefanini for the University of San Francisco - before continuing to play professionally in Europe. While in college Aaron also coached development camps at multiple programs in New York City, including the New York Gauchos.
Aaron also serves as the Head Coach for Mass Commanders / I.C.E. Basketball (MCIB) in Newton, MA and has coached the program since 2024. While coaching for MCIB, Aaron has helped many players continue onto college careers at schools including Lasell University, Bridgewater State University, and conference rivals Suffolk University and Gordon College.
Aaron is originally from Berkeley, CA, where he played varsity basketball at Berkeley High School before earning dual undergraduate degrees from Columbia and The Jewish Theological Seminary of America in 2021. Aaron continued to earn dual master's degrees from the same schools in public health and ethics in 2023.
