TJ Cahill

TJ Cahill CSCS, SCCC was named the Director of Sports Performance & Head Strength & Conditioning Coach on July 10, 2025.

Prior to arriving on The Hill, Cahill gained experience in a variety of collegiate strength and conditioning roles. Most recently, he spent two years at Amherst College, overseeing strength and conditioning programming for 14 varsity programs, including women's basketball, men's and women's squash, men's and women's swimming and diving, men's and women's cross country, women's rowing, alpine skiing and snowboarding, and men's soccer, which captured the 2024 NCAA Division III National Championship. As a graduate assistant at Amherst from 2021-23, he designed and implemented training programs for Division III student-athletes while utilizing Catapult GPS technology to monitor performance.

A graduate of Springfield College, Cahill also served as an adjunct professor at his alma mater, teaching Applied Exercise Science fieldwork courses and supervising graduate-level strength and conditioning internships. His additional experience includes serving as a seasonal strength and conditioning coach with the Valley Blue Sox of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL), where he worked with both pitchers and position players, along with stints at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, Bryant University, and the College of the Holy Cross.

Cahill earned his Bachelor of Science in Applied Exercise Science from Springfield in 2020 and completed his Master of Science in Strength and Conditioning in 2023. He holds certifications as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC), along with USA Weightlifting Level 1 (USAW L1) and Functional Movement Screen Level 1 (FMS L1) credentials.
