Xavier Powell '24 enters his first season with the Bison as a member of the coaching staff. Powell finished his college career with the Bison as one of the top QB's to come through the program, finishing with his name all over the record book.

Powell holds the record for highest completion percentage with a single season mark of 64.9, he also has a 64.0% mark for his career which is tops in program history as well. Powell's 26 touchdowns in 2023 is the most in a single season and his 39 career passing TD's is second all-time. Powell has the two highest passing yard games in program history with 483 against Curry and 472 against Dean, both in 2023. 

In 2023, Powell appeared and started in all 10 games this season under center, throwing for 2,770 yards and 26 touchdown and rushed for 381 yards and 6 touchdowns. He posted five games with over 350 yards passing and eight multi-passing touchdown games. Powell posted two games where he threw for over 450 yards. 

Powell graduate from Nichols with a degree in Psychology.
