Robert Grammer

Robert Grammer joined the Nichols College football staff prior to the 2025 season as an assistant coach, working with the tight ends.

Grammer arrives on The Hill following a six-year tenure at Assumption University (NCAA Division II), where he served as an assistant coach and primarily worked with the running backs.

Prior to his time in Worcester, Grammer spent two seasons at Westfield State University as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. During his stint with the Owls, he helped develop multiple conference rushing leaders in both yards and touchdowns, and coached a player who set the program record for rushing touchdowns in a single season.

Grammer is no stranger to Nichols College, having previously served on the Bison coaching staff from 2011-13 as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Following his time at Nichols, he spent time at Southbridge High School as an offensive consultant and assistant coach, while also gaining additional collegiate experience through stops at Bryant University, Becker College, Central Methodist University, and Wesleyan University.

He also spent four seasons at the University of New Haven (1990-93), where he was a student-athlete and competed on the football team.

Grammer earned his degree in Law Enforcement from the University of New Haven and completed a Master’s in Education from Central Methodist University in 2006.
