Qamar Acres

Qamar Acres begins his second season as a graduate assistant coach with the Nichols College football team in 2022. He works primarily with the offensive linemen.
 
Acres was selected for the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship and will spent the summer of 2022 with the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League.
 
In his first season on the coaching staff in Dudley in 2021, the Bison saw five student-athletes earn Coast Conference (CCC) Football All-Conference honors while Tyler Goodman received the Senior Perseverance and Achievement Award. Additionally, six were named to the Worcester Area Football Association (WAFA) All-Star Teams and 17 garnered CCC Academic All-Conference honors.
 
A 2019 graduate of Abilene Christian University with a degree in sociology, Acres was a three-year member of the Mount Ida football team from 2015-17, where he appeared in 30 games.
 
After transferring to Abilene Christian, Acres took a redshirt year in 2018 before completing his eligibility in 2019.
 
He spent the 2020 season as an assistant with the Wildcats.
