Dave Kaizer

David Kaizer begins his second season as offensive coordinator at Nichols College and first as associate head coach in 2015. Last year, Kaizer served as recruiting coordinator.

Kaizer comes to Dudley by way of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he spent the past six seasons – the last three as offensive coordinator. During that span, he coached the offensive line (2008-13) and also served as the run game coordinator (2010-11) and recruiting coordinator (2010-13).

Kaizer implemented practice and meeting schedules and increased player performance through evaluation of film, the incorporation of individualized drills and techniques, and positive reinforcement. He was responsible for all annual recruitment information, organization, maintenance, and mailings, and also screened the student-athletes’ academic progress.

In 2013, Kaizer’s offense averaged 175.6 rushing yards per game, led by Zach Grasis, who tallied 1,214 yards and 11 touchdowns. One years earlier, he coached Erine Mello, who averaged 103.4 yards per game and scored 11 touchdowns.

A 2004 graduate of Worcester State, Kaizer was a four-year member of the Lancers football program and graduated with a degree in Health Education. He joined the Worcester State coaching staff after graduation and coached the running backs (2004) and offensive line (2005-07) before being promoted to offensive coordinator in 2007. He developed practice plan schedules, player evaluation forms, gameday offensive call sheets, and film and gameday analysis sheets. Kaizer coordinating the off-season strength and conditioning program and served as the recruiting coordinator.

Kaizer is the founder of ‘Titans of the Trenches’ cap, which offers hands-on training for 100 campers over two days of instruction balanced between football drills and classroom work.
