Brett McEvoy ’18 begins his first season as an assistant coach at Nichols College in 2018.
A four-time all-conference selection, McEvoy gradated No. 1 in career tackles (385), punts (207), punt yards (7,237), and fumble recoveries (seven) at Nichols, as well as No. 5 in tackles for loss (TFL) (35). He led the Bison in tackles three times, highlighted by a New England Football Conference (NEFC)-leading 96 as a sophomore, when he was a three-time NEFC Honor Roll pick. He went on to earn Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Football North All-Star Second Team honors.
Following a junior campaign which saw him earn both NEFC and Worcester Area All-Star Second Team honors, McEvoy led the Bison and finished second in the conference in tackles with 115 (41 solo) as a senior in 2017. As a result, he garnered Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) and Worcester Area All-Star First Team honors at linebacker.
