Jose Martinez joined the Nichols baseball coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach in 2023.
A 2021 graduate of Becker College with a degree in sports exercise, Martinez also spent time at Curry College studying community health and wellness.
Martinez played two years of baseball at Curry before transferring to Becker prior to his junior year. At Becker, Martinez hit .324 with a .446 on base percentage in 29 total games.
From September 2018 to May 2019, Martinez worked on the athletic trainer’s staff at Curry. Martinez also has coaching experience as he was a coach and trainer for the Team Select 16u program during the months of June to November in 2021.
