Jake Given joined the Nichols College baseball staff as a Graduate Assistant Coach in the summer of 2024.
Given came to Nichols after spending 5 years at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst as a catcher, graduating in 2023 with a bachelor of Arts in History and in 2024 with a certificate in Data Analytics. There, he was a member of the first team at UMass to participate in the Atlantic 10 playoffs since 2012, He was also a part of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll 5 times (2020-2024).
Given also spent time in 2021 and 2024 with Slammers Baseball in Broomfield, Colorado as an assistant coach. There he worked primarily with Hitters and Catchers. The program has seen more college commitments than any other program in Colorado during the last 3 years.
