Greg Terhune

Greg Terhune begins his second season at Nichols in 2017. He serves as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator for the varsity team and be the head coach of the JV squad.
 
In Terhune’s first season with the Bison, the pitching staff lowered its earned run average (ERA) from 6.33 in 2015 to 5.71 in 2016, when the Bison won a program-record 24 games and advanced to both the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Baseball Tournaments.
 
Prior to his arrival at Nichols, Terhune spent the previous two years as the pitching coach at Fairleigh Dickinson College, where he helped the Knights finish second in the Northeast Conference (NEC) in strikeouts and 12th in the nation in strikeouts per nine innings in 2015. In her first season in Madison, Terhune helped FDU to a third-place finish. His primary responsibilities included organizing team practices and making crucial pitching decisions.  
 
Terhune – who was the pitching coach for the Danville Dans during the summer of 2015 ac– played collegiately at Seton Hall, where he led the Pirates’ staff in ERA (2.33) and wins (seven), and was second in innings (81.0) and strikeouts (58) as a senior. For his efforts, he was named to the All-NJCBA First Team. Terhune signed with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim following his senior campaign and played for the Tempe Angels of the Arizona Rookie League.
